Module x by Valentine Troi is the result of a series of tests on the 3-dimensional deformability of Whisperwool panels. The goal of the development was a resource-saving deformation method that does not require complex mold construction, so that even individual pieces can be produced economically.
Both free-form objects and modular elements were implemented in the test series. The free-form elements can be designed as multi-layer Whisperwool panels for structurally less stressed applications; a combination with a lightweight core made of PET is suitable for structural applications.
