When the whole world is listening, you hear every detail.

The Eurovision Song Contest is the world's biggest live music show. Over 160 million people tune in. Every note, every sound, every breath on stage is heard — from Helsinki to Lisbon, from Reykjavik to Baku.

For this to work, it takes more than just singers in top form. It takes a space that sounds the way they need to sound: precise, warm, controlled.

This is exactly where we come in – behind the scenes, where the final rehearsals and preparations take place to ensure that everything runs perfectly on stage.

What we deliver

Whisperwool is the Official Technical Supplier of the ORF for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. We are supplying a continuous acoustic curtain with suspended panels and acoustic curtains in the GRID design—the acoustic wall elements that ensure a pleasant atmosphere and the right sound characteristics in the room. And all this is made from a material that has never before been used on this scale for an event of this caliber: pure sheep's wool.

Design GRID — by Philipp Marcks

Our GRID design will be used at the Eurovision Song Contest — designed by Austrian 3D designer and artist Philipp Marcks. Grid is a repeating pattern, inspired by Voronoi mathematics. Cellular structures that grow radially around precisely placed points — order that emerges from chaos.

The pattern can be shifted in quarter-step increments and rotated in 90-degree increments. This creates harmony through repetition on the one hand, and tension through displacement on the other. A fitting image for a stage representing a world coming together.

Half-finished.

Here are a few glimpses into the almost finished panels that we manufactured in Innsbruck to a special size.

These are now being assembled in batches in Vienna. Experienced sound engineers are perfectly adjusting the sound quality to the requirements.

Whisperwool Circular Economy

Acoustics, climate, air quality — In rooms where artists and crew work together for days on end, a quiet soundscape is not a matter of comfort, but a requirement.

Sheep's wool regulates humidity—absorbing it and releasing it again when it's dry. This prevents fatigue and concentration problems. It also binds pollutants like formaldehyde. Clear air, clear minds, clear voices.
